Firefly Petunias – A Scientific Marvel (Apr 19, 2025)

Telly’s is proud to present a marvel of scientific achievement. Scientist Keith Wood infused the naturally-occurring luminescence found in certain mushrooms into the genetics of this astounding plant. The result? The flowers, leaves, and roots of the Firefly Petunia glow in any environment, but make the strongest impression in the absence of light. This scientific wonder was featured on the cover of Time magazine. In this free class, owner George Papadelis will discuss this plant’s monumental impact on the future of gardening and the environment. Attendees will have the opportunity to see these beauties in a dark room.

Attendees can prebook Firefly Petunias during the class.  Plants will be available by early May.
